things that are making you happy - Page 336

In the span of the last three days, my five year old lost his first two teeth. The tooth fairy took kindly to his losses, and so the hightlights of my day were helping him convert his dental winnings into new toys and playing with him in the park enveloped by the golden sunshine hinting of spring.

He toted his cash to the toy store in a wallet I had made in summer camp back in 1972, and it was especially amusing to see him whip it out.

We had planned to be in California this weekend, but an unfortunately, a serious illness in the family kept us here. So, it was especially nice to be reminded of the good, simple things.

I'm writing a paper on pseudoscience. It has allowed me to read lots of Carl Sagan works.

Sounds like you and your son had a very special day together. All the best to the ill family member.

Lovely story, B. I'm sorry to hear about the sick family member and hoping for a speedy recovery.

She's super annoying, but admittedly easy to avoid. I don't get why women love her so much. As for me, I started screwing around in asm. Fun stuff!

Yeah, there is really no need for that kind of thing. She is clearly a hog already.

Had a real nice weekend out of town and am about to plan another. (I'll ignore that it's now Monday morning and I'm back at work.)

Don't know what it is but she just really annoys me. As for the fatness, as a current semi-fatty and former fatty, I would not usually be pleased to see someone blimp out. However, it's so counter to the overly cutsey schtick that annoys me so much, I find it fitting.

Had the family over for lunch, for the first time in years my brother is both a) clear-eyed, and b) smiling again. God I've missed him.
