Just drove home from the office in a rainstorm for the ages was like "I hope I don't slide off the road in to a ditch or hurdle in to a branch." Thankfully I didn't do either of those things got home safe and sound.
We got an e-mail this morning saying that we wouldn't have the regularly scheduled tornado siren test on account of the weather was actually bad didn't want to send a false signal. But then the city mistakenly tested the sirens anyways, to where everyone was like "Oh no it looks like the Lord has seen fit to call me home at this hour unbeknownst must of completed my assigned tasks here on Earth." But then we got another e-mail straightaway be like "Oops, the city ran the test didn't mean to."
Just discovered the most effective hangover cure possible. Ordered takeout and a thunderstorm started five minutes afterwards. Decided to brave it and picked up my food. On my way home, a lightning bolt hit a chimney about seventy-five feet away. The noise and light were incredible, and bricks were flung into the street. All malaise instantly evaporated, giving way to bewildered excitement.
