Also, this might explain why they didn't come to St. Louis. Bands that play at Lolla aren't allowed to play within 300 miles of Chicago for 6 months before or 3 months after the show. Depending on how you measure, St. Louis just barely falls within that radius.

Not trying to introduce a vulgar tone into Styleforum website, but that is a bunch of crud. The people of St. Louis should get the chance to see Interpol in their own place of dwell (St. Louis).

Also, I was on the road all day today. I was coming from Wisconsin, which is closer to the show than I am here in the STL. (I am home now.)

Just got home first thing I did was listen to L.A. Guns. I've gone a whole week without listening to any of their numbers (songs).

I am so tired and I've got no food at home, to where I just ordered Imo's.

Yay I'm in NYC

Accidentally showed up an hour early for something... So I thought I would go have a churro from rick bayless's street food place.

But then I noticed that there was zero wait at 10:30 for frontera. Never a huge brunch fan... but I don't think I have eaten here since Obama called bayless out as his favorite (and they eliminated the non-reserved seating in the bar area).

So eager for the gang bang that you came early, eh?

Actually, that just makes me not get brunch places even more.

I just had awesome food... At 11 there were still some empty tables.

All those shitty brunch places would have a line at 11 of people waiting to eat overdone eggs and mediocre pancakes. Even in his airport restaurants, Bayless makes pretty damn good eggs.

If you must know, I am off to browse (and take for free) a bunch of vases, furniture and other stuff that an antique dealer is getting rid of. They are moving to a new space and aren't moving everything... So they invited their auction house (which my friend works at) to come and take stuff.

That's awesome. I'm jealous. I could really use some more adult furniture. Poast pics of findings!

But you missed an excellent opportunity to burn me -- something to the effect of: "if only you were here for the gang bang too.. then we'd have all the pussy we need!"

Got a bunch (too many...will sort out later) of vases. Some of japanese ones and a couple korean.

Didn't pick up anything else. There were a bunch of coffee tables/end tables/side tables, but they were mostly the kind of thing where the table surface is a japenese painting (and sometimes even a slightly 3 dimensional piece of art). A little bit too out there, and certainly not within my decor. A ton of nice lampshades (and a couple of pottery lamps), but I don't have any lamps with normal shades, and I don't need more lamps. Some random old furniture and store fixtures, but none if it interested me..they probably took everything good to the new location.

There was a little nelson-style slat bench that I would have taken if not for the number of vases I took...but it wasn't particularly nice (it was a piece of furniture used as a store display fixture, so it was solid but not beautifully crafted). My friend got a non-painted coffee table which seemed nice, but not my style.

I'll dust the vases off and take a picture later.
