Nah, it's an old danish proverb.

In vino veritas predates the Dutch.

And kids always lie.

It sounds like a John Wayne Gacy's police statement..

my dog got attacked by another dog (boxer) today. it wasn't actually that bad of an altercation.

the owner of the boxer ran in wrestled his dog away then proceeded to whip whim with the leash yelling "BAD BOY, BAAD BOOY!" then yelled at me "WHAT YOU WERE JUST GOING TO LEAVE THEM, AND DO NOTHING?!" He was a pretty big guy, about 6'4" and built like a NFL Wide receiver and was quivering and all high pitched when he yelled that.

I was just quiet and checked my dog to see if he was alright (he was fine), but my wife calmly said: "it was your dog that ran in and attacked him". the owner of the boxer was still riled up and quivering and was also instantly apologetic in tone and walked away.

the way the guy was with his dog during the incident, I guess they might have been in past altercations. my logic here was: I'm not going to jump into a dog fight (especially if its between my 35pound 1.5 year old blue heeler and a 60lb boxer) and get my "money makers" injured if i see its just a tussle and not an all out blood bath (it was a tussle).

i'm happy that about 45seconds later my dogs were playing in the creek again like nothing happened and we still had a great day walking the trails.

I am visiting my family in WI (Wisconsin). Last night we watched Canadian Football League action on the television (Argonauts at Roughriders). Unfortunately, the Roughriders did win, but that is who my mother's husband was cheering for.

This post effectively preempts the snide remarks that it invites.

What is exactly the Canadian football league?

It's an ironic term, like "jumbo shrimp"

It is like the NFL (National Football League) except that it is Canadian. (They play the game that we in the U.S. call football. The Canadian rules are slightly different, but it's the same game.) I do not like the Saskatchewan Roughriders on account of they have the worst uniforms in the league. The Argos of Toronto have the best.

It used to be when I visited family in WI (Wisconsin), my mom or her husband would want to drive everywhere, and they'd have the most god-awful country music on the radio. But now I drive and everyone listens to Boulez.
