Thanks for bringing all those fantastic memories back of anxiety, relief and elation.

on a related note: acidwife finally accepted that she must be the carrier of future acidkid #3. tryouts in may of this year.
I don't think three of you can fit in the room I saved in the new house. better get rid of one of them.
This is a little late, but thanks to everyone for the kind words!
We came home on Monday, and things have been going well. The only bumps we hit in the hospital were jaundice for the baby, which was anticipated because of her size and gestational age and easily cured by a day or so under the "tanning" lamp, and MrsG had some issues with spinal headaches from the anesthesia, requiring a blood patch and an extra day in the hospital. Other than that, baby is doing well, and MrsG is recovering fantastically.
We had the first checkup yesterday, and baby has put on a good bit of size. It only took her two days to get halfway back to her birth weight, which is very, very good news, especially in light of the fact that she lost more weight than they like to see after birth. The rule of thumb is about two weeks to get back to birth weight, and it looks like we'll make that easily.
LowerCaseG also seems to be adjusting well to his baby sister. He's very interested in her and has insisted upon wearing his "Big Brother" t-shirt to preschool twice this week. I've also been trying to spend some time with him so he doesn't feel completely neglected. We had a big day Sunday at the park while MIL stayed with MrsG in the hospital, and I took him to a Braves game last night.
All in all, we're cruising along. Definitely an upgrade over how things were going this time last week.
Thanks again to all.
