Chekhov is the second greatest doctor comedian writer artist after Graham Chapman. Or is he the first?

Bought an etching from 1980 today at a thrift store (along with another print).

Googled the name (haven't been able to locate the other artist, might not be deciphering the signature right) and found that she's still around and got a website and facebook page...how adorable is that.

Need to get a mat cut for her piece (currently doesn't have one, but I think it would look better than the torn edges), and both need new glass. Too bad the pieces are large and I have to find an overpriced frame shop...if I were closer to home, I could just use the mat cutter at my dad's studio and break out some new glass.

After that, I'll have some nice art for my office. All that is there now is a print from the MN state fair and a couple watercolor studies for a mondrian homage I made for an art class.

Today at Subway, the "sandwich artist" asked "Are you on your way home so you can watch the Dr. Who marathon?" I was basically like "I don't know what the hell you are even talking about," but I was only like that on the inside (didn't show it). Then the "sandwich artist" got on a roll about oh man Sherlock Holmes was supposed to start too but now it's delayed because of course Watson is Bilbo so they had to wait till he was done being Bilbo. On the inside I'm still like "I wonder what the hell this guy is talking about?" But what the heck, he seemed happy so I'm happy for him (last thing you want is an unhappy "sandwich artist" don't know what you'll get!).

You should turn on the tv sometimes. Or fire up good ole netflix, settle in with some popcorn, and a glass of chablis

Even if I turned on the tv (television), I am pretty sure I would not turn it to the station that was airing Dr. Who or Sherlock Holmes (of which Watson is apparently Bilbo). Also, I am pretty sure I would not drink chablis. Maybe port though.
