well, i only have the debut album and second helping. clearly i need to listen more. for some reason i always thought those were the only 2, so i never bothered to look for more. what would your top 3 be?

Yeah, I don't have them all, either. I'd like to one day, but I've never gotten around to it.

Top three ain't happening. In fact, try as I might, I couldn't even manage to get it down to five:

  • Gimme Back My Bullets
  • Ballad of Curtis Loew
  • Simple Man
  • All I Can Do is Write About It (Acoustic Version)
  • Four Walls of Raiford
  • Tuesday's Gone

There's a strong (and probably correct) argument to be made that the Allman Brothers were better musicians than Skynyrd, but, in terms of pure listenability and enjoyment, I'll take Skynyrd any day of the week.

Fair 'nuff. I saw the Allmans this summer...Gregg Allman is still a force. Also doesn't hurt to have two of the best guitarists around (Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes) in your band.

String instruments are so old hat. Get with the times, losers!

I was walking through the mall at lunch and THE Santa Claus made eye contact with me all the way on the upper mezzanine and smiled and waved directly at me.

No way, that's the kind of thing that gets you a stocking full of coal. It would also get me on the sex offender registry since there was a child on his lap.

I hate Skynard. Bhowie and I both love Zeppelin. Love, Zeppelin.

Oy, Led Zeppelin is the worst. Worse than Van Halen even.
