Posted this bugger a couple weeks back, but have to again. The way he brings in his legs when he sits is freaking adorable. It's like a cat blob:

I had two cats and a dog, at the same time growing up, they ate from the same bowl and everything.

My dog does the same thing.

Speaking of funny behavior.

So I was having a party with my imaginary friends when all of a sudden there's a knock at the door it was the fuzz (police). Guy said "I got a noise complaint gotta break up the party now." But then I said "Ain't no one even here, as you can see with your own eyes, there is no party." Next thing you know, the police are taking my neighbor "downtown" for filing a false report. The lesson is that you shouldn't break up my parties with imaginary friends.

I haven't had any kind of alcohol at all today, or even yesterday. Or drugs. Or mental illness.

Not precisely. It's very interdisciplinary but my current research is on the inter-relation of the Anglo-Saxon and medieval Nordic literary traditions, focusing on a certain mythological dynasty that was centered in Denmark somewhere around 400-600 AD. It's a very complicated topic, and I use a lot of different sources, everything from runic inscriptions to coinage to legal documents, and yes, I also have to occasionally reference the Eddas, which are where we get most of what we know of the Nordic religion. That's not my focus though, I'm looking more at mythological history, patterns of transmission, and how we wound up with the versions of the narratives we did in Beowulf, Gesta Danorum, and Hrolfs saga Kraka.

Yeah... Asatru people don't seem to believe they're going there. I conspicuously avoid them.

I live in Denmark, 10am US East Coast time is 4pm for me. I'd quite easily passed my hangover from hanging out last night with Icelanders by then. will be working on tomorrows with some Swedes who are visiting in an hour or so.

don't you have to die in battle to go to Valhalla? and no, dying in a swordfight gone wrong with a magnificent Nordic tranny doesn't count as battle.

True story. I mean, tonight, I have to watch myself narrate/feature in a video in front of hundreds. Speaking of which, until tomorrow...
