I got asked on a date tonight by a Harvard-educated psychiatrist, and she's insistent on going out to her favorite pizzeria. How sexy is that? Nice thinkin' about ya, ballerina girl.

The last Ivy League broad I tangled with (she was around 35, this was 2 or 3 years ago) was batshit insane. Her PhD was in African American literature, and she was a privileged white girl from Arlington, VA, so c'est la vie.

Mrs. Piob and I were on the road to the rifle range at 7am, were all set up for shooting at 7:30am, and spent a leisurely two hours doing some target plinking. You have to be ready for down time as you fire a group, maybe fire a second group at another quadrant on the target, and then wait for everyone to call a cease fire so you can go examine your target. We had a thermos of good coffee and sipped that between shooting and waiting for ceasefires. Perfect weather just made it a great morning outing.

Pizza and beer on a cold Sunday afternoon. Fuck the daylight savings time in the face.

Why did you say that twice?

I didn't. See it was because of the echo.

I have decided to put my philosophy career on hold for a bit and start writing novels (fiction). My stories will feature characters (men and women, but also sometimes animals) who do normal things in the ways they are normally done, except just a little bit different. That little difference will create literary interest (and sails).

I think you should write a novel about a zombie outbreak amongst cats. James Howe's books about a vampire rabbit and the dog and cat that fought it were some of my favourite books as a youngin'. And zombiism is real big right now.

zombie cats would be terrifying. I presume that they would retain their agility and stealth capabilities and not be four legged shamblers. could one of the characters be named after me? I want to be the first human killed by the cats

Just finished my first novella, which is called "The Surcinglress." It is about a woman who makes surcingles. She has a crisis of confidence, wondering whether she should continue in her career of surcinglress (hence the title). She makes a decision that has consequences, some foreseen but others not.
