That wasn't a real award, I just made it up to get you to the venue and feed you Rohypnol.

I can actually do this after a shower. Not for a week (because I have to go to work) though.

dude, if acid wants to suck his cock for a week, all he has to do is suck his bespoke dildo modeled after his own twig n berries.

he's the third most prolific poster in the bespoke dildo thread (or used to be, until the affiliate forum got squirreled).

I switched my gps from Tom Tom to Garmin, and I can't believe how much better the garmin has been so far (in Boston I actually didn't make the wrong turn coming in from Sorrow Drive to go to Cambridge - near the museum of science).

the reason I switched? I remembered that there was an update for the Tom Tom GPS. So I got the GPS out of my car along with a blanket in the back seat I wanted to wash and accidentally threw the blanket and GPS into my washing machine.

Coincidence, or typo?

Seriously, google maps. Who the duck still has anything else?

GPS Units are still superior to smartphones, i've tried the garmin apps and google maps on my iphone and it isn't the same.

plus the in dash GPS units in cars fucking suck and are stupidly expensive to upgrade for no real reason.

If you are a person who can't just look at some directions and a map and figure it out...and instead need full audio turn by turn navigation, the GPS is still superior.

I know boston has a reputation for being tough to navigate, but if you frequently go there, and frequently make the same wrong turn...that sounds like the problem exists between the GPS and the wheel.

I'm with you, Doc. Smartphones are great for tons of stuff, and Google Maps is usable, but they still don't beat a dedicated GPS for nav.

+++++

exactly 13 years ago today, I was hiding out in a small prayer room in the church where I was to be married in 2 hours. I sat there for maybe an hour just thinking (and praying) about the future and trying to calm myself down... well I think we've come a pretty long way from those days, and I'm still glad I'm married to the lady inspite of the few times I wished we have separate rooms and the one time she didn't know she was using my toothbrush for a week.... but still happy I'm married to her.

Congrats, acid! Here's to many, many more happy anniversaries!

for a long time, i would have agreed with those advocating garmins (by far the superior external GPS makers), as the garmin directions were significantly better and quicker than google maps, but as of my last road test, the google maps directions were better and quicker. to be exact, 30 minutes quicker on a 2 hour 45 minute drive.

however, getting a dash/windshield mount for a smartphone is imo very crucial for longer car trips.

however, if you like to text and email while driving/while being driven, have a separate GPS is the way to go.
