Yeah, I think he's one of those people who have no concept of common courtesy or empathy, or are just incredibly self centered that they don't realize it. But he's also brilliant, which is why he's risen in the company.
So I am responsible for this process, that he wanted to be involved in, which I agreed to. But he started telling my people to change the process, do things that required a lot of effort, and when they hesitated, started bad mouthing us to other departments. The last straw was when he told my people that certain decisions could not be made without his approval.
The interesting thing is that when I put him in his place last week, he barely responded, and didn't seem to understand why I was pissed off. Motherfucker is probably a classic sociopath. And now for him to ask for my help is just baffling. He did send one of his directors to ask me though, so at least he avoided a direct conversation
