I used to love green apples as a child. Through the years, I have forgotten the simple joy of apples because of all the other junk I could eat. Now, I have rekindled my love affair with green apples.

I have started a similar love affair with peaches after getting off refined sugar this summer.

The puppy was neutered yesterday. I had it done at the clinic in Williamsburg and got to spend the day with my other dog just walking around the old neighborhood. Lunch at Tortilleria Mexicana, talked and hung out with old neighbors and familiar faces at the dog park. I also went to this paint-less dent repair shop in queens (ironically called Dent Doctor) to have some hail damaged fixed. Picked up my dog after surgery (he's fine) and drove home.

The old neighborhood was nice, and the amount of hot women in the area is almost amusing (even the women with pets at the vet clinic at 10 in the morning were hot) but it definitely is cramped as hell there now. Especially with all the film shooting and construction in the area.

Belongs in the other thread, but I'm racing in a regatta this weekend and my crew just told me he's not coming out for the practice races tomorrow night...has to go to a happy hour thing for the intern girl that is leaving.

He better fucking get laid!

Well, that definitely sounds like something a sailor would do, so maybe he's pretty good.

Most of my collegiate regattas were just a giant booze-fest. We raced in the south-east, and it was basically just a question of whether the College of Charleston or the Citadel was going to come in first/second. Everyone else was just there for fun. Half of the teams were still puking up last night's fun while we were racing.

Apparently the "registration meeting" parties are a thing of the past out west and in the northeast....but they were definitely still going strong in the midwest as of 3 years ago.
Honestly though, not much better cure for a hangover than getting out on the water early on a nippy fall day.
