And their pre-packaged produce.

Trader Joe's produce is awful. Support a local farmer's market instead.

I find that their meats and produce suck. I only stick to their frozen foods.

Oh, and the strawberry kefir -- how could I forget?! I love that shit too.

Son, I was going to those when they were just called "markets."

Just pull your cart in front of them and open the door.

I usually just stand there and loom. Sometimes I suggest things they should say to whoever the fuck they're yammering to on the cell phone. That seems to make them uncomfortable. laugh.gif

The local one frustrates me every time I shop there. Lots of do-gooder employees who make my visit less than pleasant. I stopped going there a couple or so years ago.

Pulled the trigger on the Barbour Commander, and for about 200 less than the store in NYC was selling it. Here's hoping I got the right size.

off on my way to see my dad, he's scheduled for heart surgery, and my wife and kids are out of town. this should be interesting. I thought that it would be nice to give him some moral support, but I don't know how this will go, I might be tired of it after a day, or I might last a week. we'll see.

Best of luck to you and your dad, GT.

We had outdoor plans for this weekend that have pretty much been completely ruined by the fact that Atlanta has, apparently, adopted Seattle's climate, down to the cool August rain. This is particularly sucky because tomorrow was supposed to be the first of some SUP yoga classes I bought for the wife for her birthday, and she's really been excited about giving it a try. While we were out and about, we decided to stop by the outfitter I used to book the classes, and the woman who teaches them was there. MrsG chatted with her about whether tomorrow will be cancelled, and the instructor said yes. However, the instructor said she remembered me contacting her to book and offered to schedule a make-up one-on-one session with MrsG whenever it's convenient, just to do something nice since it was a birthday gift. Now MrsG gets individual instruction on her schedule for her first try at SUP yoga, which is way cooler than a class on someone else's.

Plus, they were having a huge sale, and I scored a really nice PFD for a steal. I've been looking for one, and this was exactly what I was hoping to find for a lot cheaper than I was anticipating paying.

Now MrsG is making homemade minestrone that will be a great meal for a rainy day.

I'm still bummed our plans fell through, but things turned out really great considering.
