I was going through some old stuff and found my older brother's old Pixies tapes. I wanted to play it but there isn't a tape player in the house. I got bummed out and remembered that my iPhone has all the pixies old albums on it anyway. Its gotten to the point where the music is so accessible and free that I forgot that I actually borrowed Pixies CDs then physically burned them onto my computer and uploaded them onto my old assed iPod circa 2003.
I'm happy that kids these days have instant/free access to all this music. I remember when i was a kid I did the Columbia 10tapes for a dollar scam to buy stuff I wanted. Or the 80's-90s where you would wait for 30min when a MTV VJ would say that your favorite band's video was coming up on the hour. Those were such
times.Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I had 10 tapes sent to my friend's house with a fake name, then another 10sent to my house, then another 10 sent to my parents office/clinic.
my dad figured out my racket and promptly whipped the shit out my 11year old ass.
