That's what they had the keyboardist for...amongst other things. Also that dood does a great Kyle MacLachlan imitation!

this post has made my day. led zeppelin is the fucking best.

hard to pick a favorite song, but when the levee breaks is way up there for me, along with misty mountain hop and out on the tiles.

other favorites include, in no particular order,

how many more times
the lemon song
no quarter
tangerine
pretty much the entire physical graffiti album
tea for one
hey hey what can i say
and from BBC sessions, the girl i love she got long black wavy hair & travelin riverside blues
and yes ill say the easy one, stairway to heaven. overplayed or not, its a great effing song.

songs i think are a lot of fun, amongst others, these i enjoy listening to,

poor tom
darlene
dyer maker
south bound suarez
bring it on home

i know i am leaving things out so i think i will spend the rest of the night rocking out to zeppelin until i pass out from sheer awesomeness.

the doors are phenomenal. very morose, and JM was a total wackadoo, sure, but so many amazing tunes. love their unique somber sound.

well, that is kind of like retroactive irony.

The often over-played on the radio zeppelin songs have ruined them all for me. When it comes to classic rock I would much rather listen to more obscure bands.

Well if you're comparing them to led zeppelin a lot of other bands are "obscure" by comparison. He was probably referring to a-ha

Oh sorry. Go ahead, play misty mountain hop one more time. I haven't heard it enough times. To add to my previous statement, when it comes to classic rock I would rather hear the stuff that is not on the radio 24/7. Before Internet radio and all of that, I worked in a place that played a classic rock station that seemed to play all of about 20 songs.

i guess the difference is, i have never really listened to the radio that much. radio almost always sucks, in any genre its pretty much the same few songs over and over.

i listen to CDs in my car/itunes on my computer, and i rotate through albums/songs pending on my mood. that way nothing really gets stale to me. and besides that, there are some songs i can listen to all the time and always love em.

I actually like a lot of the music of the era, but never reach for it because I hate all of the radio-played songs so much.

When it comes to classic rock, which now includes a bulk of the music created in the 80's I would lean on 80's music for my favorites.

Aerosmith sucks. Van Halen sucks. The Doors suck. What do they have in common? American. The British always do classic rock the best.
