Just this past weekend heard a story about a guy in the Navy who had his ring finger crushed in an accident at sea, the finger wouldn't stop swelling and they didn't have tools on board to remove his tungsten ring, so they had to cut off the finger instead.
Not as good a story as everyone elses but..
I came in to work today with some Taco Bell. One coworker that always complains I don't give him food asked what it was. I said it was gourmet and went in my office. I sent him a picture of me eating an Enchilada to his work email. Ten seconds later, him and another coworker run in my office. One holds me down and the other takes an enchilada and they both run.
Pretty funny. They're in their 50's and I'm 25 (26 in a few days) so it's nice to see they can still take/play jokes.
Still waiting for my enchilada though..
This happened to my father actually. The ring was gold. He still has it mangled in a jewelry box. He has several replacements that he wears.
Yeah, I figured that was what he was getting at, the different metal discussion just reminded me of the tungsten story. Do you work in jewelry or precious metals? Is that what B1os was referencing?
Yeah, I know a lot of people that have them. They go on about how they don't scratch, they are cheaper and blah blah blah, but to me that is like getting a polyester suit because it doesn't shrink as much.
I kind of want a platinum ring, but I would be a dick for wearing a ring without being married. Plus, I don't want to give her any ideas.
