Sorry I'm not sorry.

the crappiest part is that the kids end up suffering because the parents are entitled self important blowhards. one of the responsibilities of parenthood is teaching your child how to be aware of their surrounding and considerate of others.

if everyone were to raise their kids in this absurd way, people would not be able to properly co-exist, do business with each other, negotiate.... because they are being taught that the only important thing in the world is their absolute happiness.

kids cant choose how they are brought up, they naturally and rightfully go with the assumption that their parents are doing right by them. and shitty parents generally raise shitty kids that generally become shitty people. its infuriating. its such a relief to know that not everyone is raising their kids that way.

This helicopter parenting shit is a pet peeve of mine. Why is it in the happy thread?! ffffuuuu.gif

I'm convinced that this kind of bullshit parenting that makes the next generation of Americans a bunch of weak willed, entitled pussies (acknowledging America does not have a monopoly on this) is whats going to bring this country down.

Oh yeah, I hear you--it's not the kid's fault. They just have terrible parents that are crippling them for life.

it's not the off topic part. It's the stories of parents that need to be bitch slapped.

Well, it's off topic in that it's stories of people that make us want to break things in the Happy thread.

Finished revamping two websites from the ground up, warmer weather is finally getting around to showing up and a brand new camera is on its way.

i think even one story of a parent that needed to be bitch slapped and got it, would be ver welcome in the happy thread.

Con why do you have life insurance, when you are single without a family? I'd rather bum 4 smokes from chicks at bars each month than pay for life insurance.

I found a missing set of sketches and notes that I thought was lost when I was cleaning out my book stack under my bed. They were folded up inside a Jamie Oliver cookbook.

I'm so happy at the instant super negative backlash from women about Gweneth Paltrow being named People's "most beautiful woman in the world" right now.

I personally don't hate her (I personally think she's hot), but just seeing the facebook updates vicious and negative from my female friends as it it has any bearing on their lives just tickling me right now.

I might go and buy a copy of it and read it around my female coworkers conspicuously for a whole week.
