This, or similar, logic is always presented by people who dislike sports. The problem framing it this way is that the same can be applied to almost anything that is an expression of talent intended to be enjoyed by spectators, which would mean we should similarly look down on musicians, artists, and other people that non-sports-fans tend to hold in high regard.
Also, it's just flat incorrect, but I figured I'd spruce it up a little.

UFC is uncomfortable for me. I'd be lying if I said I don't enjoy it when I watch it, because it's incredible watching those guys fight each other, but there's something about it that is a little too barbaric/gladiatorial for me to really say I like it.
