Buckeyes in the Big 10 Championship game today.

Although I was hoping for a different match up, this will be a good game.

Buckeyes are in this largely because Aaron Craft broke out of his slump in the last month or so. I'm sure glad he did.

Just won an auction for an AMC XIA (stereo integrated amp). € 189.00 (+ 10 shipping). Given that it's € 450 new, and is at most three to four years old, I think I can be happy.

Yes, but they disappoint yesterday.

Just got back from Chicago, where I went to see Larry Carlton play. It turned out to be a great show. I'm glad I went.

someone gave me a junior's cheese cake for my birthday yesterday.



I was happy because I usually can't handle the sweetness of the usual Junior's cheesecake wether plain or with some fruit topping. But this is the ultimate synergy of red velvet cake and junior's cheesecake.

I also ran the NYC half marathon this morning. I did volunteer for the NYC half expo (they have a program where you volunteer for a race and run 9 NYRR races for a guaranteed entry for the NYC marathon). I was happy that I got assigned to the t-shirt section at the women's small and extra small booth - there were so many familiar faces and hot thin sized small/XS t-shirted women...

The human mind works in some very strange, but fascinating, ways. When I was driving up to Chicago, I had a very strong sense that I was traveling west. (In fact, I was traveling north.) And I was sure I was in Pennsylvania, to the point where I continued to be surprised at how many Illinois plates I was seeing. Eventually I figured out what was going on: the last time I made a long drive without having to worry about getting a cat sitter was in 1998, when I was living in Pennsylvania. The circumstances are sad, of course, but still, it was an interesting experience.

You know, I only caught up on this thread last night, and was very sad to read about Genevieve. This must have been obvious as my wife asked what I was reading. It was very difficult to explain that I was upset because a few days ago and thousands of miles away a cat I never met belonging to a guy I don't know had died. I didn't even attempt to tell her that said cat had been one of the most entertaining and dignified posters on the forum.

Hell yeah, perfect score on an exam; mind you, there were only four A's out of 50+ students, so I am fairly pleased with myself.
