I remember taking a federal law class back in law school just as Bush v. Gore came out. The Prof was all like "this is the most important decision ever!" and we spent like two weeks discussing it. I'm pretty sure it's actually the least important decision ever and no one has ever brought it up again. Ever.

Recently my cat has adopted the habit of squawking really loudly when she wants to be fed. She typically does this early in the morning. Of course that's not the part that makes me happy. What makes me happy is that when I tell her to stop squawking, she says "I'm not squawking, I am Tiggering!" It turns out she thinks she sounds like a mighty tiger when she squawks, and the only tiger whose name she knows is Tigger. So she made a verb of it, which I thought was quite sophisticated for a cat.

Made a great dinner. Avocado and chickpea spread on some baked potatoes. Add hot sauce and lemon...

That sounds gross.
