Well, let's just say that there can be only one Xxina Tlanta on this forum, and I plan to use my considerable mod cred to get my name changed to MrGina Tlanta.

Yeah. It's gonna be bumpy, but we'll get through it. Long term, I think we'll be glad we moved. I love where we are now, but sometimes I feel like we've exhausted all it has to offer. The toughest part is going to be finding a new daycare for the little one. I don't have a problem moving him, but I want this to be the last move until pre-k or kindergarten. That being the case, we have to be sure we really like the place we find, which will be tough given how much we love the current place.

...and every silver lining has a touch of grey.

Just kidding, Ed. When we gonna hit the links?

Oh yeah, by "worst case" I kind of meant that even the last resort isn't that bad, though transitioning to an apartment is a little intimidating after being in a house for a few years. Still, we'll definitely be renting (hopefully a house) until we've been there long enough to know exactly where we want to end up.

Ah, I picked up on the renting and not the fact that you said apartment...plenty of houses for rent too.

It must be malfunctioning.

Either that, or he's just finding out the dimensions of his instrument are below accepted manufacturing standards!

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

its also where I saw first hand that orthopedic surgeons on a whole are meatheads. the stereotype holds true! tongue.gif it doesn't matter what country, USA, india, europe, asia male/female/ghey the "bro" level on that island was off the charts.

watch out for the sea urchins:

the wife and I were bored and started to dare each other to touch it then eventually pick the motherfucker up.

I don't know if they still allow you to physically handle the tarsiers... but at one point my wife had 5 of them crawling around her.

I was thiiiiiisss close to stealing one.

there's some pretty creepy places there too. we went here near night time and even the locals we were with wanted to leave before it got dark

are those sea urchins the edible type? can I scoop the uni out of those bastards? speaking of tarsiers, this is the new nickname here for the ladies of the night who cling on to the dirty old caucasian sex tourists, being that they're wrapped around them like that, dark, petite and wide-eyed and probably smelling like the jungle too.

good luck, Mr.G!!!!!

++++

so the fundraising thing for my school buddy who's running for a high level elective position happened last night. with some late maneuverings, was able to get a considerable sum for his kitty. still below what I was hoping for, but its still big enough imo, and a lot of our friends showed up. finally glad that's over and hopefully this is the last time I find myself in the same situation.

MrG, not for a while--basically, not soon enough either.

So I started the umpiring season yesterday, it was a lot of fun and I did good, even if it was brutally cold (about 40F with wind, maybe lower). Its at a new park which is really nice but I'm kind of upset about it. Old park was where I played as a kid so I want(ed) to stay there but there was some serious politics that caused the head umpire to leave so I went with him. However, its a bit further away from home and office and doesn't pay as well (and FAR fewer MILFs).

I emailed the old park saying I hadn't heard from the head umpire about the season (true) and they emailed him saying to get in touch with me (I didn't have his email). Hadn't heard anything. So I email directly, haven't heard anything. And its pissing me off because I know they need umpires, we were short last year, and more than half the umpires went to the new park.

Anyway, I also broke my phone last night, I've got no brake lights on my car at the moment, several bills to pay and it turns out... A grand total of $200 to last for two weeks. Also, found out that my boss gave one of my coworkers today off so I get to pull double duty today, yay.

And I lost my boxing gloves which were (are) really nice.

And I can't eat today.

(These are not things that are making me happy, btw, I am merely posting a stream-of-consciousness-style post.)

(Irregardless, if I can take any solace it is that I am posting in the manner of one Link can doesn't who is very smart, so maybe I will become smart by mimicry).

I am on a site visit this week and my local manager introduced me to the newest member of my local team. She is seriously the hottest chick in the entire office and the hottest girl that's ever worked for me. She's 21, single, and some kind of Indian/south Asian and Caucasian mix

Holy fuck. And here we are at dinner and she's laughing at all of my stupidest jokes. Excuse me while I go stick my head under a faucet

What's wrong? She's 21. It's not like you're in the Piob/Rube/Jan age-range.
