Did the 'gubment' force you to speed?

You seem like an alright dude, but sometimes you are just so damn annoying.

Sarcasm clearly doesn't work on the Internet.

Thank freaking god -- I was expecting to have to pay like $600 or something.

Now if only my speeding fine would offset my tax liability.. As if the gubment doesn't take enough of my money away.

Obviously not...satisfied.gif

Thanks, dude!

That is absolutely a possibility. In fact, MrsG and I have agreed that would probably be a wise move. On top of ostensibly being a much better job in general, this job has a ton of upward mobility, and it would put me in a field that is likely to see an enormous amount of growth.

There's a little bit more to it than just making sure I get the same pay or better, but a lateral move in terms of pay is definitely on the table.

Whether this is sarcasm or not is besides the point.

Good luck, mang.

...

Okay, so the few of you who still think I'm this Responsible Grown-up Adult should stop reading now, but the Mrs. texted me earlier about having the theme song from Phineas and Ferb going through her head, and I pointed her to what might be the very funniest episode Disney ever created, the one where Perry and Candace switch bodies. Whether I am greeted with a smile or a growl is completely in the air at this point, but at least there is a fair amount of Belgian beer in the fridge to soothe any tempests.

Oh, and I'm over a major hump in my exam prep, nearly through this book. Fixin to order the next book and schedule this exam.

Had a drink with Globetrotter earlier. My first forum meet up. Cool guy. Makes me more optimistic to meeting some of you in the future. Cheers!

We have a sort of unused open space on our floor. Fantastic natural lighting. I asked to be moved there...it also moves me about 20 meters from everyone else. Just got moved...my cubicle/partition thing is open towards the window and the lights above can be turned off without affecting the other half of the floor. Also, nobody is near me. This is fantastic.

You'll pay it in increased insurance premiums... for years to come.

The court clerk told me I could opt for deferred adjudication, so if I don't get another ticket within 6 months, it won't show up on my record.

That being said, given current trends, I will get another ticket this Friday when I'm back at home base, lol.
