It was a really awesome feeling to have the manager (literally) slap me on the back and congratulate me on a job well done. I get very, very little positive feedback where I am (our organizational culture is terrible), so it was nice to know I still have mad skills. Plus, like I said, if I don't get the offer, I can be at peace knowing I couldn't have done anything more to nail it.
It sounds like they want to hire someone quickly, so I should have an idea as to what's going on relatively soon, which is good because I'm really anxious find out if I got it. The job itself looks fantastic. However, I'm having a little bit of trouble getting a read on the salary, so I have this terrible fear I'm going to get an offer only to end up in a deadlock on that front. We'll see what happens, but I just want to know!

I had a charcuterie plate made almost entirely from duck not too long ago. It had a bunch of preparations that are traditionally made from pork, and it was amazing.
