Watching Styx of today do the Grand Illusion with Larry Gowan doing lead vocals.

I LOVE contemporary Styx. One of my top 5 concerts. Enjoy.

Had a nice steak dinner prepared by myself with a nice bottle of Alpha Omega Napa Valley 2007 Merlot, all whilst listening to my favorite classical music station.
Bliss.

of course. it was at my neighbors house. my buddy is related to my neighbor, through marriage, and we were both invited for lunch. it was a splendid afternoon.

So, my downstairs neighbors who love to blast metal at all hours of the day (see the Things that are pissing you off thread for more details...) were blasting music again yesterday. I mean, really, really loud. Like, I could make out all the words (read: screaming) from this music.

I eventually had had enough and went downstairs to say something to them about it... And they were totally cool with it. Apologized, said they had been cleaning the apartment and just needed something to pump them up to get it all done, and immediately turned it down.

Total opposite reaction from what I was expecting. Seriously was expecting them to tell me to fuck off and me have to go call the landlord.

So now we see if they are a bit more conscious of the volume level going forward, but for now, I am happy.

Gotta make some breakfast. Slumgullion as they used to say.
