Meh, I'm in New York, so a nice, full-service grocery store is like Nirvana to me at this point, pretty much no matter the cost. Besides, I'm so used to New York prices that an $8 gigantic sammich sounds like a bargain to me.

i got a birthday card for my kids to give to mrs. stitch. not only did they write her lovely birthday wishes, they took some of their own money and put it in the card. $2.25. i am sure this generosity is another trait they learned from their mother.

I just got a call on a job I've really been coveting, and I have an interview! It doesn't mean a whole lot unless I actually get the job, but, man, a little positive feedback is exactly what my job search needed.

G'luck G and cute on the kids Stitch.

My operations guy turns 50 next weekend. His youngest daughter and wife will be out of town for a dance thing for the kid so he's home with his other two kids, sans spouse, for his 50th B-day. I just made plans to surprise him with a couple of others in my senior management team and a couple of long time industry friends. A five hour boozey lunch at my boozey lunch place for all of us a week from Saturday. smile.gif
