Wedding on a Monday?

i think we have gone over this before, lol.

jewish weddings are on all days of the week, not necessarily on a sunday. and never on a friday or saturday, due to shabbos.

Every time I ask Genevieve a question she doesn't know the answer to, she says "What do I look like, Kreskin?" Maybe it's just me, but I love conversational references to The Amazing Kreskin.

Last night I overhauled an electric motor. Cleaned up the insides, burned the oily mess off of the brushes with a flame, chucked the shaft into a drill and spun the commutator against some fine sandpaper to make a nice surface. Put it all together and it purrs like a kitten...no more smoke at high-RPM, no more excessive sparking.

It was kind of like the first time I cleaned a set of carbs. You're scarred to crack it open since it seems so mystical and precise inside that you are worried about just making your problems worse. Then you open it up and realize "hey, this isn't so complicated, it is actually remarkably simple".

Semester started. Taking awesome courses.

My Icelandic best friend is set to have her kid this week, and had asked me to make a baby version of my SNS sweater for the baby. Came out pretty damned good if I say so myself.

Kopped a new sweater I love, and its Fjällräven, which is a brand I've always wanted stuff from. Got it for a song.

Saw a sweater made by an Icelandic company I cant afford, then happened to find a knitting pattern for it when I was busy moping about being too poor to be cool. Now I'm halfway through the back panel four hours later, and I managed to get the color I really wanted it in instead of the one the company makes it in.

Shits lookin up

I had an email from a survey company looking to get information about why my firm is a "great place to work". I dread such things but if it is short enough I'll to it just to break the day up a little yet this puppy was 7 pages of Q&A. Deleted and I am happier for it.

I could have used a heavy beard this morning to protect my face from the cold while walking my dog at 5 a.m.
