I would rather dig into a big ol' plain Jew NY bagel than that 5 euro imitation Lender's in Laurens' picture. Plus that looks tedious to eat.

I ate a lot of NYC Jew bagels this weekend. drool.gif

try a laptop docked to two monitors...it's like twice as good!

edit: I know you can use your laptop screen along with the monitor, and I did this for a long time, but 2 monitors are better. They can both be raised to the same height, and are both larger and higher quality than the laptop display. Then when you want to take the laptop, you don't have to ever even think about repositioning anything when you get back since the laptop just sits there folded up in its little docking station.

Did you do that so you'd have more pretexts to say "thrice?"

+1. It is glorious. Though I would very much like the center one to be a big widescreen model to better look at giant spreadsheets.

ahaha! my boss and i are locked in a monitor arms race right now. he maintains that his setup is better because he has one widescreen 26". i think i win with two widescreen 22"s.

who wins?

You must not have much of a boss if he can't get another 26"

You win by far. Also, most people keep windows maximized (and everything defaults to 1080P resolution these days on new panels until you get to the 27") so the 26 is simply a slightly larger version of whatever is on your 22.

Two smaller screens are far more useful than one large screen. I have a 2560x1440 27" at home and I think that for actual work, my 22" wide and 19" regular (by choice...it is actually taller than the 22") monitors at the office are far more functional. the 27" is beautiful, good for workign with photos, and keeps my desk looking pretty--but, you have to actively think about window organization instead of just juggling stuff between screens.

I have two weird sized 23" screens. They have a weird resolution that supposedly won't work with certain computers (1920 x 1080 per monitor) but when I tried it with my MBP it worked fine.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
all this large/tandem/multiple screen talk is really about how you can have windows of HD porn going on the far edge of the monitors tilted away from everyone right?
