well, a lot of shit that i did or experienced leading up to 30, that i thought was completely useless, has proved to be beneficial in some way. so i can get on board with that saying in a certain respect.

also, a really good buddy of mine from my old job, who has been trying to get out of there forever, called me to tell me he got a new job today. i am very happy for him.

oh, i forgot to add,

as the busy season there is about to start, the owner had the nerve to ask him, can you push off the new job til after march 2013? what a selfish fuck. buddy said thanks but no thanks.

I've got a fridge full of beer, champagne and food, and a small handful of my favorite people coming over. I am not going out in the cold rain to hang out with a bunch of drinking amateurs fucking things up. Happy new years folks.

Driving two minutes to my favorite venue, bringing a great bottle of grower/producer Champs with me and the rest of my 1965 bottle of Louis Tres, will be midnight fire works, great food (including two presentations of foie!) and good friends.

And did I mention a two minute drive? 90% of that on private roads
