key west reminded me of resort towns in the Caribbean/southeast asia/south america/ in a good way.... superduper laid back, chickens running around in the streets, lotsa mopeds, good food.

I was wondering if hauling the bikes all the way from brooklyn was a good idea... but everyone said that you can bike the whole key west easy. totally worth it... parking a car in the touristy spots is a bitch. we even got one of those dog baskets for bigger dogs.

there really are 6 toe-ed cats (40+ of them actually) living in the Hemingway house. the tour is actually cool.

obligatory black and white artsy shot.
I didn't realize florida is actually a pretty big state. the drive from vero beach to key west was over 5 hours.
vero beach area has been great so far. its one of the places that we could potentially move to.

they have this kick assed dog beach about 45min away called walton rocks. totally off leash dog friendly. we spend the whole day there yesterday.
I'm still heavily leaning towards staying in Brooklyn/NYC... Florida has been awesome so far but it feels like a place I'd like to vacation in rather than live full time.
