better make sure you get a camera with a wide-angled lens, stitches.

dont be surprised if piob suddenly hits you up for a meat up after you acquire such a camera.

For jewelry, you should probably be buying a skybox.

A good camera will help, but a skybox will really make shit look good.

edit: sorry, maybe skybox is not the right term.
Something like this:

will let you have diffuse light and a seamless backdrop.
A lot cheaper/more compact than getting actual soft box lights and setting up a seamless background and all that. They even make some that are like those pop up laundry hampers...just put some bright lights outside, put the item inside, and shoot away.

yup! we have one, and i use it for all my pics. the pics come out great, but a legit camera will take it up a notch, and it will be more time efficient. there is a lot of posturing, focusing and deleting, with the iphone pics.

Canon!

edit: in all seriousness (and not just canon/nikon flaming) I imagine you don't really want an SLR and lenses. It's overkill for ebay product shots in a controlled environment.

I'd take a look at the canon G series cameras (what are they at now...G15?) You don't need the newest version...probably anything 10+ (including the G1X) will take awesome photos.

FINALLY paid off a credit card balance that was hanging over my head for far too long. It feels so.fucking.good to be gainfully employed, making money and finally be able to pay down debts.

My new job rules, they cook me lunch every day and just paid out a fitness subsidy which I spent on some awesome personal training. They are also matching my RRSP contributions and my benefits kick in a week from yesterday. Since they run yearly, I now have 3 weeks to burn through a year's worth of massage therapy and a ton of other paramedical expensies, not to mention actually being able to go to the dentist/optometrist for the first time in too long.

In the meantime the Alps are absolutley getting dumped on. So much fucking snow it's insane, another 50cm expected tomorrow and even more over the weekend and into next week.
