it's awesome that you go above and beyond like that for your child. I feel bad for my mom when I make a pizza or something and she is left out.

just looked up rugelach and it looks awesome! I'd love to bake that! thanks! smile.gif

I think it's necessary just because she is celiac doesn't mean she shouldn't have a normal childhood smile.gif I will send the recipe when I get home this morning, just dropped the Little Miss off at school. Will also find my pizza dough recipe for you.

I have not shaved in three days, so when I shaved today I got to see the whiskers go into the sink. It's pretty fun to feel effective in the world that way. (I don't grow much facial hair, so when I shave every day I don't get to see much hair go into the sink. You know what I'm saying?)

I'm sure that this is part of some shtick, but I do actually feel that way after a few days of not shaving. Makes you feel like you've made a real change, or an upgrade.

No, it really does make me feel like I've accomplished something, as small as it is. Just seeing the hairs go into the sink when I rinse off the razor blade makes me feel effective.

i envy you relatively hairless people. after 3 days of not shaving i need to get out a wire brush and a bottle of draino to clear out the sink.

I like it. It's good times with the right crowd.

I've been through all of the cards a bunch of times and I dunno...maybe it has lost its lustre. No fault of the game, just that some of the jokes aren't funny the 7th time you make them. The game is still fun and there are still new and different combos that are hilarious...but cards like "jerking off into a pool of children's tears" stop being instant-winners after the first couple times you see them.

I think I might need to buy some of the expansion sets and give them to my friend who owns the game for christmas...some fresh cards are just what it needs.

edit: and if you are cheap, you can print the cards yourself (they give you the PDFs) or send them to staples to be printed on heavier cardstock...and then just cut them up. Kind of nice since then you could make your own cards (and there are probably "fan-made" cards out there)...and since the game is best combined with drinking, you won't care if you lose/damage the cards.

I made my own "free motion" rollers today. They are basically bike rollers that mimic real world movements on a bike. Normal stationary bike rollers are easy enough to learn (you use balance, steering corrections ,and gyroscopic effect to keep you up), but free motion rollers are a lot more natural and forgiving.

I was planning on just spending money and buying the real versions, but was weary of spending like $800 (or a little less if I bought them used) when there were so many DIY instructions on the internet that would essentially cost less than $50 for the materials. Plus its fun making your own stuff.

the best part was finding wheels for the project. you ideally use skateboard or rollerblade wheels. I didn't realize that craiglist has has so many cheap assed listings for people selling their rollerblades. I bought them off a dude for $20. They guy I bought them from was pretty manly (maybe a hockey player) which goes against the stereotype of the typical male NYC rollerblade user I had in mind.

The irony i guess is that I was in a hurry to finish the bike roller project (which is basically a bike treadmill to avoid training in bad weather) so I could actually get in a real ride outside today. It was fucking beautiful outside today.
