indeed. and i feel like a turd, for not contacting you. i was there with my family, and didnt really have much alone time. GT messaged me thursday, and we had an impromptu, friday, early AM meetup. its no excuse, i should have given you a heads up.

in a mind bending turn of events, UPS managed to make my day. for some reason, they though my office was closed today, and they did not deliver. i saw this online, and called them up. instead of the standard next day second attempt, they sent the driver back, and made the delivery today.

crazy, i know.

My Little Miss Canuker believes Mum can produce 2 over the top velvet ruffled dresses in time for the Christmas party at Dads work in just over a week...well at least I think this makes me happy...

My niece is that way, the mistake was making the first one lol.

I have and it's true once you make the first one they expect miracles lol at least she asked for her baby sister as well as her self.

Got the 14 ruffle pieces (7 per dress), the 6 bodice lining pierces (3 per dress) and the main dress pieces for one dress cut last night. With luck the dresses will be done by Thursday

No worries--I had a busy weekend anyways and usually wouldn't even be in chicago for thanksgiving...in fact probably never again since I much prefer spending it with family (and spending it here with people who don't go home to visit family translates into spending thanksgiving with people who don't really care about thanksgiving beyond the fact that you get to eat a big meal and don't have to go to work)

speaking of thanksgiving, i got a good laugh out of this story i heard in chicago.

the daughter of the family we stayed by is a senior in HS. one off the kids used the word SWAG in the yearbook. the yearbook faculty supervisor did not know what it meant, and somehow was referred to urban dictionary, where a bunch of people have defined it as an acronym for "Secretly We Are Gay." now they have been disallowed from using the word swag in the yearbook.
