I just remembered something that's going to make you all jealous of me (which will make me happy): I have never in my whole life bought Kleenex-style tissues on account of ain't nothing wrong with paper towels for blowing your nose. This proves that I am manly.

Also, before I left my condo this afternoon, Genevieve said "From now on I would to be called as by the name of Sunshine." I thought that was pretty cute.

New job.
I got recruited but was my uncle asking me to help him. Same industry but different area so its a new challenge. Trial period of 6 months to see if the arrangement works out for both of us.

Cooking steaks before you eat them is overrated.

Nicely done Thomas, being familiar with your dedication I'm pretty sure this will be a great year for you fistbump.gif

Got half the priming done on the doll closet pieces last night, about to start the other half so should have the paint on and dried and the pieces hidden away again by lunch!

I got an amazing night's sleep last night. I'm visiting family, so I slept on a bed. (I often sleep on the floor at home for Genevieve's benefit.) I'd forgotten what it's like to sleep that well.

Of course I did wake up in a panic, worrying that I'd forgotten to arrange for Genevieve's care. (That happens every time I spend time away from home.)

So, yesterday I lost my house key while out running. That's been weighing on my mind, since a number of people see me running and know where I live. Anyway, I have spares, but it was still upsetting. I reckoned that I'd not fastened the key pocket properly and it worked it's way up and out.

This morning I set out again - same shorts, different key. I was moving along in the early-morning darkness when I felt something hit the back of my right leg, and then my left. I was listening to a quiet part from the Nutcracker, so I heard the ping and managed to catch a glint off a nearby houselight as my key skittered off into a neighbor's yard. Oh dear. Well, then.

I stopped, pulled my iphone off my arm and used the light to track down the newly-lost key. Then I remembered when the same thing happened during yesterday's run - I was just too far gone to figure out what it was at the time - so I proceeded out to that part of the neighborhood and after a few more minutes tracked down the key I lost yesterday; again in the 5 a.m. darkness. After that I was much, much happier.

When I used to run I put my key in my sock against my ankle.

However, once I got out of my car when I used to drive and lost grip of my keys and they went right into the sewer. It was also freezing out. One of the worst days of my life.

my father once used the can and flushed. While the toilet was swirling, he reached in to his pocket for something and pulled it out but a paperclip was also stuck to whatever he was getting, and his car/office/house keys got tangled up with the paperclip. As soon as they emerged from the pocket, they keys fell right into the toilet and were flushed immediately.
