seriously though, the jackets are very useful now since:

-we do a lot of hiking in hunting areas

- the mackinaw wool will keep this little masshole warm when its wick'd frickin cold outside

- both are reversible with oiled shelter cloth on one side and the orange/wool on the other

- both will be good for that frigid cold winter rain

+1,000,000. I lost my favorite, a plaid Drake's cashmere. I am still in mourning.

Unrelated: I was just looking through some book reviews on the WSJ site. I read one and realized that it was written by my former professor. Kind of cool.

Two things making me happy:

1.) My new tweed wallet.



2.) Yesterday's trip to the country. These were taken from Thacher State Park, which is on an escarpment that overlooks Albany County. It's amazing; you can see three mountain ranges (Adirondacks, Green, and Berkshires) from one spot.
