A bit tight, might be best to start again and reconnect the flexible hose to a new bit of pipe, soldered or shark-bitten on a bit further down?
Over two years ago I was the victim of fraud on ebay - dodgy seller got about £400 off me and never sent goods. Got my money back from Amex and didn't give it another thought until about a year later when a policeman the other side of the country contacted me to ask about it, and I gave him a statement. Completely slipped my mind until today, when I received an email from the same policeman to let me know that the two fraudsters responsible have just been convicted. The system works! (Sometimes, and very slowly)!

That's pretty funny that it would take that long! Glad you were made whole, all the same.

Hmmm, that gives me an idea. I can probably saw the pipe at (or close to) the leak and then solder a coupler over the two pieces.

Just got finished participating in a negotiation for a big, important, and complex contract. It went very well. Although one of the people who I'm working with has a very bad habit of wandering off the point and talking about information that is interesting in general, but not relevant to the topic under discussion. I am exactly the opposite: I prefer to focus very closely on what's at issue.

Cut out the wet sheet-rock and insulation, cleaned up the kitchen floor, got ready for work. Took 30 minutes, all told. Wife noticed nothing until I told her (no one ever looks up without being prompted). Still on-time to work today.
Will fix permanently this weekend, trying to decide between this Shark-Bite product and just soldering in a new pipe. I've not had great luck with plumbing solder - yet.
We have a friend staying the night with us tonight, BTW. what timing.
And I think my OCBD binge is tapering off, now that I have a few new shirts in the closet.
And my legs are sore from yesterday's track workout. Yes, this is a good thing.

Oh crap, I may not be able to use this, now that I think of it. The leak is about 3/8 inch from the connection to the flexible outlet hose. fooey.

Is it still leaking on the flex pipe? It may just be easier to put in a new piece of pipe and be more effective long-term.. when I've used shark bite and other such measures it seems like they work as a good stop-gap but just leak again a few weeks or months down the road.

Making me happy: I haven't had serious knee pain in months, despite the most stringent exercise regimen I've ever pushed myself on. First time in over 5 years beforehand I've been pain-free.

Genevieve has been a little grumpy at me lately because I've had to be away at work a lot. Well this morning I spent some quality time, picking her up and carrying her out onto the balcony. She was so happy. She said "It sure is a nice spring we're having, isn't it?" Of course because she's a cat, she doesn't really know how the seasons work. She was just trying to make small talk to re-establish a bond. I said "You bet, Genevieve, it really is a nice spring we're having."

L'in, is Genevieve a specific type of cat that is able to speak English or are you like Dr. Doolittle and have the ability to communicate with animals? I don't know if this has ever been addressed before.

Karaoke night with my roommates at a local bar last night. Singing nothing but classic 90s songs of course ;)

"Classic" '90s songs? Surely you jest.

I'm not sure, actually. Other animals don't chat with me, so I don't seem to have any kind of general ability. On the other hand, other people do not talk with Genevieve. Maybe it's that Genevieve can speak English, but she only speaks to me.

A high-quality person just commented on my fb that my cat was cute. That reminded me of another remark about my cat's appearance: my brother once told me that Genevieve was an ugly cat, and that she looked like a feline Lucy Liu. There's actually some truth in that, as odd as it sounds.
