The barista at Starbucks complimented me on my fragrance today. I told her it was Tom of Finland. She didn't believe me at first; she said "That's really the name?" I assured her it was really called that. Then she complimented me again.

I wonder if Touko Laaksonen's estate gets any piece of that.

(see what I did there?)

The fragrance was actually done in collaboration with the Tom of Finland foundation. The boxes have strongly homoerotic drawings on them!

Not relevant to the Ford era cars, but back in the day my brother had a beautiful XJ12. I went with him once when he took it to the local Jag mechanic for a service. Looking around the guy's shop I saw a bunch of blackened V12 engines in various states of disassembly. The guy told me that they had a lovely habit of spontaneously combusting, something to do with the fuel lines from the two rear tanks or the ignition system.

Well I can see how that would be an ethical dilemma. If she were a student at the university where I work however it would be no dilemma at all, as she would undoubtedly be 'king ugly.

All the students at your university are ugly? That's really too bad. (Or just the ones that work in coffee shops maybe?)

One time this student met me outside the context of Starbucks. She hugged me and didn't let go for quite a while. She also shook my hand and didn't let it go for quite a while. That was weird.

A close family friend had an XJ12 when I was growing up. It was a real beauty, but full of troubles.

The war in Iraq, was the right war for the wrong reasons and with a terrible plan(aka no plan at all). There is an interview with Dick Cheney, where he gets asked why the US didn't occupy Iraq during the first Gulf war. His answer was because (paraphrased) It would end up in the biggest clusterfuck that country had ever seen, and there would be no way for us(the US) to solve it. So basically everything that happened when they went for the second round.

However, and this goes for both wars, What Obama is doing now, is nothing short of shitting on the lives and sacrifices that all the military members and their family members have given, by pulling out before the job is done, leaving the 2 countries to basically rot in their own shit and become some Islamic extremist state that no one gives a fuck about, unless they happen to blow up some westerners.

Reading this insipid bile I am reminded of the the lyrics to How Do You Sleep by John Lennon.

As for Iraq show me the MWD and your silence on the GFC only proves me right.

^^ I hope this doesn't damage our Internet friendship, but I didn't enjoy that even a little bit. But it does bring happiness to my heart to know that you did.
