Glad to know what happened. For a moment I thought I'd opened the wrong thread.

Now I'm confused. If you've got one top sheet and two blankets on top of that, isn't that (for all intensive purposes, as it were) the same as having three sheets? Or are you using "sheets" in a more restrictive sense than I am maybe?

What model? Year?

Perhaps. When I think of "sheets" I think of these things -

The thin cotton, silk, linen or otherwise fabric item that forms a base layer.

I think of blankets as something else, usually thicker and warmer fabric items.

In Harvey-land blankets and sheets are not the same thing. Three sheets seems to serve no purpose. Are you using three sheets for extra warmth? Just use one sheet and one blanket.

X-type. 2003. Low mileage and it's a manual so it doesn't have the issue with the automatic transmission that many of that time period did.

Using the definitions current in Harvey-land, I'm using two sheets and one blanket. One of the sheets is red and the other is cream, but that is not relevant to the discussion at hand.

Now I'm even more confused. Were the sheets on top of each other, with the blanket on top, or was it sheet-blanket-sheet? Or blanket-sheet-sheet? And what colour was the blanket?

This should be easy to explain, but it's not! My set-up is two sheets on the bottom and the blanket on top. The bottom sheet is red, the middle one is cream, and the blanket is a kind of harvest gold color. When I woke up, the blanket was on the bottom and the red sheet was on top.

I should also add that this is only my set-up for sleeping on the floor. I do that fairly frequently because it accommodates Genevieve a little better. That's why the configuration of sheets and blankets seems so random: I just use whichever ones I have handy.

Why won't Genevieve sleep in your bed? Mine will sometimes complain until I go to bed so she can crawl under the sheets next to me.

I knew a guy who kept on old handset w/ the cord attached in the center console of his POS car (this was around 1984) and would "take calls" at lights to impress anyone (hopefully girls) stopped alongside
