I
I'm glad my car is a diesel....NYC has officially ran out of gas and well its getting tense out there... because of low gas tanks + tons of grid lock traffic.
I saw a truck gassing up at a station on Metropolitan Avenue... I pull my car in (all the pumps are wrapped with a perimeter of "police line do not cross" tape.
Police vehemently yell "NO GAS!" at me and physically block me... I tell them my car is a diesel and they let me through.
Then all hell breaks loose:
once some cars see that I'm filling up my car (from a truck with a mobile tank - filled with diesel) everyone starts careening towards the station causing near accidents and huge grid lock.
then i had 10x variations of this conversation with people in the gridlock:
Person through their car window: "so there's gas...?! you're filling up your car!"
Me: "my car is diesel, they only have diesel"
Same person: "so there's gas?!" "you're filling up, why won't they let us in?!"
