The same for me Greg...

Walk along the Canal ,feeding the ducks and swans before my night shift...

A lovely time..

Well, last week was probably the most significant of my professional career, albeit highly stressful. Had a couple of speeches on Monday, but gave the most important presentation of my life on Thursday, and although the Q&A left me a bit rattled, the reviews have been outstanding. Then Friday night and Saturday I was recognized for "unique and significant contributions" before an awesome crowd both evenings. Feels good. smile.gif

My students just had to write a short paper on Rene Descartes' ontological argument for the existence of God. One of my students wrote that Descartes was trying to rebuild the adipose of knowledge. This made me laugh. (In case you are wondering, she meant edifice where she wrote adipose.)

When I was at Penn State, I had a student write that Descartes was trying to rebuild the Oedipus of knowledge. I didn't think that could be topped, but I think it just might have been.

I hope this goes without saying, but I was not involved in any way with the criminal acts that have recently brought so much attention to The Pennsylvania State University. You can even look in the Freeh Report; you will not find the name L'Incandescent. That's a fact.

Methinks L'Incandescent doth protest too much.

So her thesis was Descartes is a fat head?

In response to this, let me just reiterate that I had nothing to do with the wrongdoing in question. I mean like nothing at all. And even if I did, that is between me and the Lord. But I didn't.
