I have to witness against a former boss, who "stole" money from the employees, I told him when he didn't want to pay, that I was coming for him.


5 different unions have all taken him to court, but none of them have filed charges, my lawyer did and now he is going to jail. devil.gif

A fellow SFer went onto my fb page and called one of my work colleagues (and a fb friend) a "crazy old cat lady." He called me a crazy old cat lady too, but that was somewhat less funny, as the colleague in question really is sort of a crazy old cat lady. (I am neither a lady nor old. You will have to take my word on that.)

That's the main rule of SF..

My rule is a bit different but seems to work okay. What happens on SF stays on SF, for the most part.

Yes, this strikes me as the key point. Almost all of us say things on SF that we would not say IRL (I certainly do!), and so it's important to keep those worlds separate. I would be mortified if a SFer posted on my fb wall "Hey, I saw a sexy shemale in the city today, wish you could have seen her. Woo hoo!"

Although I do have this one friend (not-SF) who's not shy about the silly stuff. I'd posted a pic of the baby girl napping with me, and he called Nexties. I was kind of shog[1].gif, then I was laugh.gif

An update on the job: They really seem to like me, and they're pushing hard for me to come in for a formal interview (thus far it's been phone/Skype interviews). It also looks like my salary demands aren't going to be prohibitive. I have until Monday to let them know if I'd like to go for the formal interview, so I'm going to reflect on it over the weekend. Part of me is going, "yes, this could be a great opportunity" and another part is going, "this isn't what you thought the next step would be, are you sure it's right?"

I'm not sure yet which direction I'll go, but, man, is it an ego boost to have a place that's coming after me, rather than vice versa.
