things that are making you happy - Page 1657

Thread Starter
had a great day - flew out for a one day meeting in Tokyo (flew out, meeting, flying back tomorrow). purpose of the meeting was to keep out negotiations for a major thing going on, that could have easiliy gone south, I figured a 50% chance of failure. day went great, everything is on track for success. had a great meal, going back.

another thing - my son had a chance to get popped up a grade in math, which would be the best of both worlds, he'sll spend most of his day with his friends, but he'll get better math. he really wanted it, studied hard for the test and got it, one of only 3 kids in his school. I really only care because it was something that he worked hard for and got what he wanted.

Haha. Not gonna be in Baltimore. That was just a joke. That said, my brother is in law school in DC, so I'll almost certainly be up there visiting some time. Perhaps I'll let you know when/if that happens. Or perhaps I'll turn the creeper table and just appear at your house. peepwall[1].gif
I saw it. Sorry I didn't respond - I read it in haste (I have a bad habit of getting updates on my phone and telling myself I'll respond later, only to forget). T'was funny.

that would be interesting. i look forward to either option.

Good stuff everyone.

Today is hokey for me. Just did an overnighter business trip, but even the one night away, makes me realize how great my life with Mrs. Piob is.

You know how when you're looking for something you need, you sort of hope you don't find it right away because you enjoy the feeling of being in the Danger Zone? (I am referring to the song by Kenny Loggins.) I couldn't find the book I have to teach tomorrow, and I was having quite a bit of fun not finding it. But then I found it, which also made me happy. That is a win/win.

we went to a couple. I played some poker and actually won enough to pay off our stay at the beach resort.

That would compel pB's girlfriend to sign up at Style Forum just so she could post in Things That Are Pissing You Off.
