Well, although I was completely wrong about what Mathematica is, I would have been completely right to avoid taking such a course.

Finally getting rid of my complete POS phone and getting an iPhone 4 (it was free).

Turns out it's been shipped overnight and I'll get it before I leave town for a trip tomorrow morning icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

I knew what it was, but haven't touched it since my undergrad days and even then I wasn't proficient with it.

No worries--I can make the drive from VA to Philly blindfolded.

Okay, that's an exaggeration. But I could make the drive blind drunk.

I was a science-type major.

Sort of part happy, part pissed off. I have to do an over nighter for business today, which always sucks, but I don't have to leave until later afternoon and did not go into the office. smile.gif

I'd casually mentioned I could use a job in the café about a week ago. I come in today to find out two of the girls have been arguing with the owner to hire me even though I don't speak Icelandic, and he has a policy against it. I doubt anything will come of it, but I was really happy that they are trying,

Still, it's nice to have someone express interest, especially given this was basically a cold call by the recruiter.

ooooh. great news. always a good feelin to be reached out to. good luck, buddy. smile.gif

Not sure where to put this, but this seems closest to the right place. My brother's fiancee closes notes to me with "Love You." When someone closes messages like that, it seems like a person should reciprocate. But I have a very hard time doing it. I think she's a wonderful person, and I don't have a single negative thing to say about her. But I'm just not the kind of person who can say "Love you" except in very rare circumstances. I'm not sure how to proceed.

Posted in the happy thread because she thinks highly enough of me to say "Love you." That's pretty awesome.
