Did you charge her interest?

Nah, I was happy enough just getting back the principle.

My girlfriend never really got into The Beatles. Didn't grow up in a Beatles household and hasn't heard much past their early-day singles. I sat her down yesterday and made her listen to side 2 of Abbey Road. She's now a fran. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Sergent Pepper and the White album are a must..

They are all a must, but she only really heard their catchy fun loving songs. She didn't know much about their fucked up drug music from Rubber Soul onwards.

Well, I am suffering from male pattern baldness, so I just cut it very short at the top and sides. (There is not much to cut at the top, unfortunately.) I let the back grow long, a little past my shoulders. Sometimes I do that part up into a pony tail, and sometimes I just let it flow like a mane. (Some parts of that description are true and others false. I'll let you decide which.)

Also pB, as long as you're forcing your gf to listen to music, you should force her to listen to The Kinks. Then she will become a fan of them too.

She's already a Kinks fan! I have their entire discography.

Wow, that is not easy to do. Their early records, up to about Lola, are pretty hard to find. Does she like "Death of a Clown?"

I don't know specifics about her taste, but your avatar is what got me into death of a clown.

My makeup is dry and it cracks round my chin/ I'm drowning my sorrows in whiskey and gin

What a great lyric to open a song!

They have a lot of great lines.

Yup. Oddly, I tend to like Dave's songs better. "If I live too long I'm afraid I'll die" is another great Dave Davies line.

We were leaving family court one afternoon and happened to get into the elevator with a young lady and her attorney. I overheard the attorney advising the young lady to please cover up the face tattoos next time she has a court date. They were triangles under her eyes, kind of like what a clown might have.
