I'd quote you all, but that'd be obnoxious, so thanks so much for the wishes, everybody!

Went down a revitalization path for my little netbook (eeepc 1000h) that I take when I travel/use while I eat breakfast in the morning. New battery and keyboard (both had started to fail), swapped in an SSD, and installed a bit more lightweight linux distro (xubuntu).

Really brought the thing back to life and made it feel snappy again. My morning email and weather check was delightful.

^ i recently upgraded my macbook pro with an SSD and put the old 1tb HDD into the optical bay (using a caddy). its weird how CD/DVDs optical drives are the new "floppy drives" (essentially useless).

the upgrade in performance with SSD is really awesome (but sadly you get used to it within 20 seconds of use tongue.gif )

I'm really happy that simple things like SSD swaps can really extend the life of computers.... saves money, less waste ect ect.

I'm starting to wonder if b1os and Neo might be the same person in real life, even though they present themselves as different persons on the Style Forum. What are the odds that two people would be eating such similar cookies on such similar plates at the same time? (They are low; that is what I'm suggesting.)

If I was a Neo, I would be version 8.

I forgot to mention in my rant yesterday that another reason you all seem to hate is because I can eat delectable, high-class dishes and not gain a single kilo. Old-man metabolisms ftl.
