things that are making you happy - Page 1563

Lots of things making me happy:

  • Get to officially meet Journal colleagues tomorrow
  • As soon as I finish summer quarter exams this week I get my first real rest since starting law school (Christmas doesn't count with so much family stuff going on, spent all of spring break on pre-quarter reading and networking trips, and the time between spring and summer quarters was write-on)
  • Using part of that time to visit my sister and her wife in Australia for the first time since they moved there over seven years ago
  • Just a month or so to go till tweed-jacket-and-cardigan weather!

Tokyo has the best goddamn convenience store food I've ever had.

Planning for dinner tonight, I weight myself this morning.

156.8

Weighed myself when I got home from dinner.

168.4

The only part of the lamb that was left was one leg. Better than the even I was at that was catered by Emeril's two weeks ago. Amazing.

Didn't do much for the comprehensibility of your post, smile.gif

I think it was. It was towards the end of the Chichen Itza / Tulum travels when we were with Bjorn. It was quite a descent just to get to the water.

Finally got the AC in the wife's wagon working again. This time I went with a new control unit (the year/model has known issues), new compressor, new drier, but couldn't get it to hold a vacuum. Took it to a friend I'd been meaning to visit, he checked it and sure enough - it held. It was my pump that wasn't holding, which wasn't terribly unusual. ah well. While we waited for the AC to evac, I helped him with a friend's water pump - I helped him break off the fan clutch, then helped reassemble the deal, including belts et al. Not like he hasn't done it before, but it was good to beat the incoming rainstorms.

oh, and One More Thing. I received an awesome gift from someone who will remain anonymous - a bottle of some great Rum - great way to celebrate the adoption. Thanks mang!

Okay, one more. The Little Miss T is starting to name things as she sees them. Earlier today she saw a hammer, recognized it, and called it by name. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gificon_gu_b_slayer[1].gificon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Hammer Daddy, Hammer.

That's my girl.

I was too scared to note the construction of the stairs. Probably.
