lmao cannot believe this just happened:

- skipped dinner so I yelped late night places to find food; found a fusion vietnamese restaurant two blocks from my apartment
- went to said restaurant to take out some banh mi and saw that there was one guy and one very attractive lady there chilling
- I order my food and wait and the bartender brings out three shots.. all of a sudden the two patrons are like come on take a shot!
- I decline at first, citing my headache and 6 am flight tomorrow morning
- But the shot is a bitch shot so I'm like what the hell and I take it
- The girl and I start talking and I tell her how I'm new to town, etc, and I ask for cool hang out spots
- She gives me recommendations and it turns out the guy next to her is her best friend, and not BF.. GREAT
- My food comes out and I leave, pissed that I didn't ask for her number
- I got home 3 minutes ago and I called the place; the bartender picked up
- I told him who I was and asked him to give the phone to the girl
- She picks up and I say, 'Okay, I have three questions to ask you, possibly two depending on your answer to one of them: 1. What's your name? She gives me her name. 2. Are you single? She says yes. 3. Can I have your number? She gives me her number.
- So now I'm going to eat my banh mi sandwich but I just realized I forgot her name already. Oh well.

conversation I had last Friday walking my puppy on Grand Street near Bushwick st:

3 large black men standing outside a deli/corner store hanging out and shooting the shit.

1st black man - the largest (about 6'4" pushing 350lbs easy): "hey, what kind of dog is that? is it a boxer?"

me: "its a bos-"

2nd black man cutting me off: "Bost-ton terrier man. Thats too small to be a boxer... plus the little guy isn't brown"

3rd black man reaches down and starts cooing at the puppy and then proceeds to pet it profusely"

1st black man: "I'ma going to get a huge fucking boxer man.... name the motherfucker Mayweather - It'll beat the shit out of any other dog..."

I just realized that he notices that I'm filipino... and its a subtle/smart dig at the assumption that since I'm the same race as Manny Pacquiao I must be a superfan (PacTard).

Me: Mayweather... like the boxer?

1st black man: yup! he'll beat the shit out of Manny Pacquiao!

Me (pretenting to be ignorant): who's manny pacuiao?

1st black man: the boxer Manny Pacquiao!

Me (still acting ignorant): there's a boxer named Manny Pacquaio?

3rd black man still petting my dog: Yo the guy's fucking with you...

1st black man: get the fuck out of here little man....

2nd black man: you best be on your way...

me: if you do get that boxer... make sure you teach the dog how to shoulder roll (ts a specific boxing defense that Mayweather is known for).

all three black men start to laugh and the two other pet the puppy before I walk away.

it was in the middle of the day.... and that area always has cops/patrols parked right on the corner... I wouldn't of been a wise ass unless I had a contingency plan... plus dude number one started it!

I just like doing that though.... because I play a bit of poker I always have a bit of cash/money orders/checks with me that needs to be eventually deposited.. and its something I do to decompress... I'll drive/walk/bike down to the bank and stand in line a couple times a month and deposit small amounts.

interesting. i love not having to go into the bank, or having to make sure to get there during regular hours. makes it so much easier to be able to deposit cash and check directly into the atm. do you flirt with the old ladies while you are in there? wink.gif
