Its Friday afternoon the week has been shit but I don't give a flying fuck! There is excellent Rugby on Fox tonight and I have a new bottle of Bundaberg OP Rum to open once the sun goes past the yard arm which will cure my idiot induced blues.

The Brumbies look to have the Australian conference wrapped up at this point. I don't think my beloved Waratahs are going to make the semi-finals this year. I wouldn't count out the Reds, though.

As Shakespeare said "there are more things in heaven and earth than your philosophy has names for" and with 3 games to go the Reds have a mathematical chance, however they ( and the Wallabies) will miss captain James Horwill due to injury.

Good news is that Michael Cheika is being sought for the Waratahs and or Force coaching position. Cheika coached Leinster to win the Heineken Cup in 2009.

My sources are telling me that Cheika will probably end up coaching the Force. Looks like the Tahs coaching staff is in disarray.

A good friend of mine had a pin-up themed birthday party last night. Good times.

I hope you had a lot of talent there or this party must have been awful..

Well, turned out to be more of a general 50s party, but it was fun nonetheless. Saw a bunch of friends I hadn't seen in ages due to exams.

*Man I miss Roy and H.G. (yes, I know they are a daily show but its not the same as This Sporting Life and I can't get podcasts of their new show).

Pat Metheney's album "Offramp" is so unbelievably good. I remember the first time I heard it I was halfway in and out of sleep and it came on the radio at like 2AM and was just entranced by it. I had no idea what it was and was too tired to call in to find out. Then a few years later I randomly heard it on one of the college radio stations here and was like "whoa", now I know what it is!

awesome. There's no feeling quite like it. In Toastmasters, my favorite moments came when a speaker broke through and got comfortable.

I don't crave steak, but if I don't have red meat every so often I start running down.

...today, training's going well, and the summer camp drop-off issue is a thing of the past. I get an extra 30 minutes in the morning now.

Housesitting for a week for a ludicrously rich customer. He's paying me a ridiculous amount of money to hang out by his pool, feed the plants and water the lizard, and told me the three bottles of scotch in the liquor cabinet should be gone by the time he gets back.

You can water my lizard anytime.
