The trip to DC to go to Fields English Tailors was a great success. Will over there was a real professional, i had a private appointment and he was really cool about explaining everything to me, and what needed to be done to fix my jacket. It will cost a pretty penny, but will be worth it to finally be happy in how i look in this suit i got 18 months ago.

He was probs mid late 30s. Cool as hell. English accent. Ambiance in the place was insane. Quaint DC building, bespoke shit all over the place, reams of gorgeous fabric everywhere, pics of presidents that got suits there, cool nicknacks....i think one day ill do bespoke there. Maybe.

For a 2 piece suit they start at 3500, the fabric I liked, 180s 20% cashmere was closer to 6k. Im not that baller yet.

and he gave me these

That's pretty cool, Stitch. Have him mail me one. If he resists, tell him I promise the next time I'm in DC and in need of a tailor I'll hit him up!

...

I can only recall it happening once, when I was like 14. We were swimming, and some chick's bikini top got pulled out of place. First bewb I saw IRL, IIRC.

Glad you had a good trip, stitchy. Will is good people. I like that he recommends alterations, rather than asking, "What do you want done?" I'm pretty sure he's a decade younger than you think. satisfied.gif

thanks, i tried to find you but no luck.

DC is a bitch to drive to, but its a great place, i always enjoy going there.

oops, i mis-typed. fixed it, i meant 30s. sorry will if you are reading this. (unlikely) but he knew all about SF, i told him thats how i heard of him.

^^^Stitch, this is good to hear. I may have to look Will up one day. I'll tell him you sent me. smile.gif

He is very, very competent. There are others on the forum with good experiences. He did nice alterations work for me. He is expensive. And his bespoke work is also quite expensive - at least by my standards. I'm not sure his house cut would work for me, however, so between that and his pricing I am unlikely to commission anything from scratch.

It is 77 degrees and sunny. I am sitting at a cafe and enjoying an endless parade of cuties walking by wearing spring clothing.

I suppose the plus side of being here and not knowing when I will get to return home (and not having been promoted yet), is that I am gonna rack up some mad overtime!

too bad I haven't even checked into the hotel yet (bag is sitting in the conference room)...or been outside (taxi dropoff was inside a garage-like thing so not actually outside)
