Come on man, help them out. Just tell them to pretend the dollars are rocks and they should sort it out real fast.

since I technically won twice, I am going to buy 2 things and save the rest.
I've been eying the orient black mako so I think the first quarter winnings will buy that. The halftime winnings will buy me an enameled cast iron dutch oven (have to make up my mind on staub vs le creuset)

Is there anything wrong with the big Lodge ones on Amazon? My ex had a le creuset and a Lodge and far and away preferred the Lodge...

95% moved in. Still have some items to get in the place and it's mostly organized now. I just need to set up some more shelving for shoes and an area to hang my coats.

I don't like the more rounded bottom of the cheaper lodge ones. The nicer lodge model may be a valid contender but it starts to get pretty close to the price of Le Creuset seconds at marshalls with cosmetic defects. Then there is the staub which has the heavier duty lid (and the basting spikes) but has a black interior which I am not a huge fan of.

My favorite thing that I have noticed about the cheaper lodge dutch ovens...is that amazon always says "frequently purchased with" and then shows the Le Creuset branded replacement knob....people are silly

HAHAHAHA. Well she didn't mind the rounded edge.

I've seen the le creuset at TJ Maxx etc for a decent price. Totally forgot about that. Good luck either way.

Amazing how much discussion of cast iron pots takes place around here. They're POTS, people. I mean, c'mon, it's not like they're shoes!

Today I am amazingly happy because I was offered the job of my dreams this morning. Meeting with them this afternoon to cross, dot and sign.

Believe me , they're making a lot of difference when you cook in them...

I don't do enough cooking to warrant some great and expensuve pots/pans , but I don't understand the passion some op have for cooking.
