Just got two new blazers, so two have to go to make room in the closet (I need bigger closets, apparently)... First is a 2 button double breasted HF customized collection with ticket pocket, side vents, working cuff buttons, and signature inside lining... chest: 18.75" shoulders: 19" sleeves: 24.5" top to bottom: 32" Second is a HF canterbury, 2 button with one vent in the back, with a small moth hole near the top right shoulder (see pics)... chest: 18.75" Shoulders: 18" sleeves: 26" top to bottom: 31.5" Looking for $78 for both shipped in the USA. $100 for anywhere else in the world. Thanks for looking.

Your pictures without flash are so dark. Try daylight if possible.

I know - but I didn't get home until it was dark already - I tried to take the pics under the lights, but it doesn't work so well...

There's no way these can be 40Rs with a 19.5'' measurement across the chest.

Yeah...I'm having number issues tonight - more like 18.75" - sorry for any confusion!

Um, that's even more off the mark. You have had nearly 50 for sale threads here. It's probably time you learn to measure at least close to the mark. http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/T...easurement.htm

No, that's even more unlikely. All your sales have totally out-of-whack chest measurements. Keep this in mind as a guideline. The chest should measure b/w 2 to 4 inches more than the size. So a 40R would measure 42-44" (or 21-22" across the front).

Obviously OP is not multiplying by 2 but even then way off.. the consistent errors in measurment and black pictures are doing you no favors.. read that guide by Andrew and take pictures in daylight, I think that'll make your sales threads more worthwhile.

Every time I post a jacket I get a pm on how to "measure it correctly because my measurements are off" - I'm getting the royal run around - every pm tells me to do it a different way!

I looked at that website and now...

when laying the jacket flat and measuring it straight across,

The double breasted jacket measures 21"

and the 2 button single breasted jacket measures 21"

I'm assuming that means 42" around - but according to the above website it should be closer to 44"?

what am I still doing wrong?

21" across--meaning the chest is 42"--is definitely normal for a 40R. Like the above poster said, a 40R will be between 42"-44" consistently.

Practice measuring the jacket waist at the middle or top button. You should be getting 1/2 the tagged size, or within a half inch of this, for the majority of unaltered stuff.

I also wonder if you are using the metal roll-up kind of tape measure used by carpenters and such? You need a cloth or flexible plastic tape to get a reliable measure of something like the jacket's chest.

+1. Didn't even occur to me that he could be using something else but it would make a difference.
